Best Designer Womens Slides

It’s officially summer and you know what that means? It’s time to step out for patio season and flaunt your fresh pedicure.

As much as we love a good pair of flip flops, slides are always a more comfortable option for lounging around in.

You can even wear them with socks, which is something that’s hard to do with your favorite thongs.

If you’re in the market for a stylish new pair, then buckle up because we’re highlighting all of the best designer womens slides of the season.

How to Choose the Best Designer Women’s Slides

Online shopping can be overwhelming with so many options to choose from, so to make the selection process as painless as possible, our editors have compiled a list of the top 12 designer women’s slides that we’ve ranked with three main factors in mind: price, material, and brand. We’ll break down each of them in the following sections.

Price

The products included on our list of the best designer women’s slides range from $100 to $1,200, so it’s important to set a budget you are comfortable with before pressing ‘add to cart’. Designer or not, most women’s slides are made from a base of rubber. So, if you are spending upwards of $1,000 for a pair that is made of non-precious materials, you may want to reconsider whether the price point is worth it for you and your wallet.

Material

Some of the slides in this review are made with delicate materials like Yves Saint Laurent’s Leopard Print Genuine Calf Hair Slide Sandals, while others like the Balenciaga Pool Slides are made entirely from rubber. Their waterproof material makes them perfect for lazy days spent lounging in the backyard, but if you’re looking for something fancier, you can never go wrong with a YSL leopard print moment.

Of course, the finer the materials, the higher the price will be. In comparison, the rubber Balenciaga sandals ring in at $495 as compared to $695 for the YSL Calf Hair Slides

Brand

Not all women’s designer slides are created equal. Sorry not sorry, Gucci, but lately it seems the brand has been struggling to come up with fresh prints, especially for its footwear collections. The Gucci GG Blooms Supreme Slides are no exception.

Shopping for slides from brands like Jimmy Choo is always a safe bet, since designer Jimmy Choo is best known for his high-quality, couture shoemaking. On the other hand, brands like Lafayette 148 and Hermes are offering some truly fierce footwear this season.

Overall, the competition is tough as our list of the top 12 designer slides for women is full of hot buys that will make you want to up your summer shoe game.

What is the Difference Between Sandals and Slides?

Before getting into the nitty gritty details about the best (and worst) slides of summer 2021, it’s important to understand the key differences between sandals and slides, that way, you can choose the style that suits you best.

According to the humble opinions of the editors at Honest Brand Reviews, sandals and slides differ in three key areas: style, efficiency, and comfort. We run you through the reasons why in the sections below.

Style: Slides are made with flat soles and often contain a single wide strap. Sandals, on the other hand, might have a heel or even worse, Y-straps. Can we please start a petition to ban Y-straps? We get blisters just by looking at them.

Efficiency: Whether your sandals have buckles, straps, or laces, they often take time to put on. Slides, on the other hand, can be popped on in seconds so that you’re always ready to go and never have to worry about pesky straps coming undone.

Comfort: When we think of plain ol’ sandals, we think of ill-fitting, crisscrossed plastic straps that hurt our feet. Since slides have flat soles with wide elevated straps, you’re guaranteed comfort — and that is worth investing in.

If you agree with the points we made above, we know you’ll love our top picks for the best designer women’s slides. Let’s browse together, shall we?

The 12 Best Designer Womens Slides

#1 – Gucci GG Blooms Supreme Floral Slide Sandal

Priced at $360, Gucci’s GG Blooms are one of the more moderately priced pairs on our list. With a black rubber base, the top of the slides feature delicate pink geraniums that can easily elevate any casual outfit.

It is important to note that unlike some of the other designer pool slides on our list, the canvas material on the GG Blooms makes the shoes susceptible to water damage. Gucci’s website recommends keeping them away from direct heat, light, and rain — so don’t take these slides to the beach.

Our biggest issue with the Bloom Sandals is that Gucci’s floral print design has become *yawn* boring. The print is used on everything from Gucci bags to wallets to scarves, so if you’re looking for something more unique, you might want to check out the other designer women’s slides one our list.

#2 – Saint Laurent Nu Pieds Leopard Print Genuine Calf Hair Slide Sandal

If these sexy leopard print YSL slides are wrong, then we don’t wanna be right! The trendy blunt toe gives them a high fashion edge, making them perfect for a night out. Pair the Nu Pieds Leopard Print Genuine Calf Hair Slides with a fresh red pedicure and a black silk dress for the ultimate date night look.

Priced at $558, the Nu Pieds cost a bit more than the Gucci Blooms, but the shoe’s genuine calf hair exterior and leather lining justify the price point. Some wearers say these slides run small, so if you’re thinking about buying them, go a size up.

The downside? The Nu Pieds do not come in other patterns, so if you’re not a fan of animal print, these might not be the slides for you.

#3 – Hermes Oran Sandal

If you thought YSL’s Nu Pieds were luxurious, then you’ll love HermesOran Sandals. With an ultra-soft goatskin insole, these fabulous fuchsia slides feature the brand’s iconic calfskin ‘H’ cutouts.

The Oran Sandals will run you about $640, and while they certainly aren’t cheap, you get what you pay for when you buy Hermes. These designer slides have excellent customer reviews as most wearers agree that the Oran’s are extremely durable, even after years of use. But are we really surprised?

The nearly 200-year-old Parisian fashion house is internationally acclaimed for its outstanding craftsmanship and is frequently referred to as ‘one of the last true remaining luxury brands’. However, the best part about these women’s slides is the wide variety of color options (22 to be exact!).

#4 – Givenchy G Sandals in Leather

With nappa lambskin leather and a 100% goatskin lining, these Givenchy slides are priced at $500. They come in black and blush pink, which are two of the only notable features about this pair because if we’re being honest, we’re a bit disappointed with these slides.

Givenchy came out with some next-level pumps this season – including the triple toe sandal collection – and these just feel… super basic? For the price ($625) and materials, the G Sandals do not appear too luxurious either.

That said, following the guidance of fictional fashion icon Elle Woods, everything does look better in pink and the G slides are no exception. If you’re thinking about snapping these up, Givenchy’s website recommends staying true to your normal size.

#5 – Versace Tresor de la Mer Slide Sandal

If you’re looking to make a splash this summer, give Versace’s de la Mer Sandals a try. These ocean blue designer pool slides are made with 100% polyurethane so you can take them to the beach or lounge by the pool without a worry.

Fun fact: the cheeky starfish and seashell print was originally featured in Versace’s spring ‘92 collection. Priced at $440, they come in two other sizzling summer colors (white and pink). But wait, there’s more! These slides feature an intricate sole so even your footprints look fabulous.

#6 – Fendi Vertigo Slides

Created in collaboration with New York-based artist Sarah Coleman, the Vertigo Slides get their name from the distorted Fendi print that is featured on the slide’s satin strap. Completed with toggle drawcords and a rubber sole, these women’s designer slides cost $714 and come in three stunning colors.

To start, tobacco (a rich, dark chocolate-y brown), blue (an electric aquamarine hue), and peony (a delicate, light pink). Much like the Versace de la Mer slides, we cannot pick which colorway we like the most — they’re all just that good.

#7 – Balenciaga Pool Slide Sandal

Made entirely out of rubber, these $340 Balenciaga designer pool slides can handle all the water. They feature an embossed 3D logo on the strap and come in three different colors, all of which are honestly not that cute.

The white is bound to get super dirty and the electric blue shade, while it works on Fendi’s satin slides, looks cheap when translated onto rubber. The beige shade is the worst of them all, and after sifting through customer reviews, it seems that shoppers weren’t too happy with the slides either. They tend to scuff easily and do not come in half sizes — the audacity!

#8 – Dolce and Gabbana Pink Tonal Sandals

Remember when we said everything is better in pink? Well, the same goes for these logo-emblazoned slides by D&G. We’re obsessed with their bright fuchsia tonal colorway, and even better, they’re made completely of rubber so they’re safe to wear around the pool.

The Pink Tonal Sandals come in a few other colors like white, black, and a refreshingly electric lime green. At $300, not only are the D&G slides one of the more budget-friendly options on our list, but they are also one of the cutest.

#9 – Chloe Woody Slides

The combination of calfskin and canvas on the Chloe Woody Slides is gorgeous. At $375, the price point of these women’s slides is quite reasonable. We also scoured a bunch of YouTube reviews from multiple fashion vloggers who raved at how comfortable and versatile the Woody Slides were, which means you get big bang for your buck.

Reviewers also noted that if you are inbetween sizes, to go a size up as the Woody’s do run small. The con about these shoes? Most buyers seem to agree that the canvas strap makes the Woody Slides hard to clean.

Buying tip: instead of opting for the white color, which is bound to show stains and dirt, go for the grove brown shade.

#10 – Lafayette 148 Nia Slides

With a slightly Western-boho style complimented by soft Spanish suede, the Nia Slides by Lafayette 148 come in four beautiful colorways:  copper, chilli red, smoked taupe, and blue lagoon, which is reminiscent of the Mediterranean sea.

The whipstitching on these sandals gives them a beautifully tactile, handcrafted feel and we just know that they would look great with a pair of white linen trousers. For the $416 price point, we think these slides offer pretty fantastic value.

#11 – Jimmy Choo Fallon Slides

As soon as we laid eyes on the opulent crystal buckles that decorate the Fallon Slides from Jimmy Choo, we thought they were something a glamorous Georgian heiress would wear on a day spent lounging by her olympic-sized swimming pool.

Handcrafted with a nappa leather strap, the $477 price tag on these designer slides is pretty standard. The only downside is the lack of color options available (standard black and white). While the crystal buckle allows the Fallon Slides to be dressed up or down, we concluded that they aren’t the most special pair on our list.

#12 – Bottega Veneta Lido Slides

It doesn’t get any chicer than this. You’ve probably seen the Lido Slides all over TikTok and Youtube, so it’s safe to say that Bottega Veneta is having a moment. Although this pair of sandals are made with 100% lambskin, their $1,220 price tag makes them a tougher sell.

The shade range offers a multitude of sizzling summer colors to choose from like papaya, lemonade, and cane sugar. Even better, reviewers agree that Bottega has created a truly high-quality, comfortable slide with the Lido

The only downside of the Lido Slides is that they have been so over copied by fast fashion brands that even if you invest in an authentic pair, you may still have people wondering whether or not they are real.
