We did our research and found several outfits that can cater to busy lifestyles while keeping in mind the different seasons and weather patterns. Here, you’ll find outfit ideas for all the seasons to make sure your bases are covered.

The goal here is to keep outfits as simple, light, and roomy as possible without compromising style. We know that people have different lifestyles and therefore require practical and adaptable outfits that support their day-to-day lives. Now, let’s get into the juicy stuff and learn what to wear to the chiropractor.

What to Wear to Chiropractor: Outfit Ideas For Men

First, we’ll explore some outfit ideas for men. If being active is part of your lifestyle then you already know what to wear to the chiropractor. Heck, you might even be wearing an appropriate outfit right now! These styles require very little effort and are practical everyday outfits.

Cool, Calm, and Collected

Some days require a little more running around than others, and that’s when a simple and minimalistic outfit comes in handy. If you’re a busy guy and can’t be bothered to constantly change throughout the day, then you will want to wear something that is versatile.

Joggers, a white t-shirt, sneakers, and a baseball cap create the perfect easygoing look for just about any casual affair — including running to your chiropractor appointment.

The relaxed and thin fit of the joggers gives your legs breathing room, allowing you to be completely comfortable while your chiropractor assesses you.

The great thing about this outfit is that once you’re done with your appointment you can run to the bank, pick up some groceries, and do anything else that’s on your list without having to stop at home to change first.

Summer Sweatsuit Set

Once seen as a boring outfit, we love a good monochromatic moment nowadays. This oversized t-shirt and shorts combo is the ideal outfit for a chiropractor’s appointment because it provides you with maximum comfort while still being sleek and urban.

Long white socks and matching white runners give the outfit a polished look that screams, “I woke up like this.” As a bonus, you can wear this outfit for a game of outdoor basketball once your appointment is finished. It’s the perfect conglomeration of sporty and laid-back.

Who knew that practical pieces could look cool?

Keep it Casual

For the days that are a little cooler, you might want to trade your t-shirt for some long sleeves. If you squeezed your appointment before or after a coffee date, then a sporty style might not be the best choice. This outfit conveys a European startup CEO who has people to see and places to go.

A dark long-sleeved shirt with beige khaki pants is formal enough for a hangout while also being comfy enough to see your chiropractor. Even though these pants are a tad snugger than a pair of sweats or joggers, they are still suitable to wear as they aren’t as tight as most jeans. Pair this outfit with some casual sneakers and you’ll be looking fresh all day long.

Athleisure Wear

Whoever invented athleisure was a very smart person, as they clearly had everyone’s best interest in mind and knew what to wear to the chiropractor. Athleisure apparel allows you to hop around from one errand to another without ever looking out of place.

If you want to keep things super chill, then a matching black tracksuit will do the job. These suits were made for people to move in by being baggy and free.

However, these track pants are a bit more tasteful than MC Hammer’s parachute pants. Your chiropractor’s job will be much easier and they’ll have no trouble reaching the areas of your back that need work.

This outfit provides optimal flexibility and is great for a short in-and-out appointment. Once your time is up at the office, you can hit the ground running to your next adventure.

Elevated Loungewear

Everyone loves a sweatsuit, but it’s only the bold who tend to go out in public wearing one. Turn up to your chiropractor appointment in this outfit and you’ll be turning heads. Well, let’s be honest, the King of Comfort is here to slay.

This outfit will make you feel as if you are wrapped in a cloud while keeping you classy and well put together. If you want to replicate this outfit, we recommend you go for a matching olive-green-colored set that just emits peace, harmony, and sophistication.

What to Wear to Chiropractor: Outfit Ideas For Women

We’ve covered all the different outfit options for men, now what about women? The same suggestions apply to women as well, loose fits, stretchy materials, and generally comfortable clothing that can take you from one errand to the next.

We’ll guide you through some of the most accessible outfit options that we’ve found on the web. If you’re still wondering what to wear to the chiropractor and you need a bit of visual inspiration then look no further.

Yoga Gear

Why not kill two birds with one stone where you hit up a yoga class after your chiropractor appointment? You’ll definitely feel more aligned in every way possible.

This outfit is the best of both worlds as it combines tight-fitting stretchy pants with a loose sweater, as you’ll want to keep your body warm before you do any yoga poses. It’s a great base layer for any spring or fall outfit.

From downward dogs to spinal flexes, you’ll be able to switch modes with ease. By wearing this type of outfit, you will be doing your chiropractor a big favor by making their job easier. There’s nothing better than showing up to an appointment prepared and ready to go. Talk about a triple-win situation!

Activewear meets Casual

Did you schedule your chiro appointment bright and early, maybe a bit too early? If you don’t have time to put a well-thought-out OOTD together, it’s okay. We’ve all been there. Act confident and nobody will question you.

You can literally roll out of bed and put on a pair of leggings and a t-shirt before heading out the door. If you’re having a bad hair day, spray in some dry shampoo, toss on a baseball cap, and voilà! Carpe diem (after your morning coffee, of course).

As a side note, we do recommend throwing your hair in a ponytail or bun before you enter the chiropractor’s office as long hair might get in the way of the adjustment.

Biker Shorts and Oversized Tee

Repeat after me — biker shorts are not just for bikers. The secret is you don’t have to be Lance Armstrong to rock a pair of these comfy bottoms.

This simple summer outfit can be whipped together faster than your Dalgona coffee. All you need is a pair of white kicks and an oversized (cropped) tee to complete your look. Add some sunnies, slap on some SPF 30, and slick your hair back to keep cool.

P.S. We won’t object (and neither would the planet) if you want to put your biker shorts to use and cycle to your appointment. You’ll be receiving kudos on Strava for your bike ride activity while also getting kudos IRL on your chic outfit.

Sweatpants and Sneakers

You can’t go wrong with a classic sweatpant, sneaker, and relaxed T-shirt combo. This outfit gives off major Sporty Spice vibes, and quite frankly we are living for it. From your hip hop dance class to chiropractor, this look will take you both places.

Plus, white sneakers go with anything and are ideal for the chiropractor as they are comfy and secure.

This neutral three-piece outfit can easily be replicated at home. Mix-and-match different oversized T-shirts with track pants and find something that speaks to your personal style.

Wide-leg Pants

Channel your inner Harry Styles and opt for a high-waisted wide-leg trouser for great comfort. Paired with a simple t-shirt, this fit will give you the ability to move, stretch, and bend in every possible way. A fitted white t-shirt helps to balance the loose flowy bottoms nicely.

This outfit can transfer you from yoga to chiropractor to brunch with the gals without anyone batting an eyelash. The options are infinite.

One caveat is that we recommend swapping the sandals in this outfit for white sneakers or flat shoes while at the chiropractor, unless you go barefoot during your session, then you do you.

What Should You Not Wear to a Chiropractor?

Now that you know the basics of what to wear to a chiropractic appointment, you may be wondering if there is anything you should avoid. Fortunately, there are not many things that are absolutely off-limits, which gives you a lot of liberty with your outfit choices.

However, when it comes to what to wear to a chiropractor, many of them suggest you avoid wearing some items. Here are a few things to leave at home in your closet:

  • Jewelry
  • Heavy and bulky clothes
  • High heels
  • Formal wear
  • Tight clothes (unless they’re stretchy)
  • Dresses or skirts
  • Delicate materials

A good way to remember what to wear to a chiropractor is if you’d wear it to the gym then it’s suitable for your chiro session as well. Since it’s recommended to wear gym clothes to chiropractors, why not habit stack and do both?

In the words of James Clear: “Habit stacking increases the likelihood that you’ll stick with a habit by stacking your new behavior on top of an old one.”

Whether you choose to do a light yoga flow, run a few miles, or do strength training at the gym, you’ll reap the benefits of going to the chiropractor while also getting some exercise in.

Can I Wear Jeans to a Chiropractor?

Now, wearing stretchy or comfy clothes to get readjusted is pretty obvious, but if you’re a fan of denim, then you might be thinking, Can I wear jeans to a chiropractor? You’ll be elated to hear that yes, you can wear jeans to a chiropractor.

Before you get too excited we must admit there is a caveat. Wearing tight jeans is not recommended due to limited mobility unless they’re made with elastane. If you have a pair of loose jeans that provides you with ample stretch, then feel free to wear them.

Ultimately, you want to be as comfortable as possible during your chiro sessions and if your jeans provide you with great mobility, then we say go for it!

Can You Wear Flip Flops to Chiropractor?

A good rule of thumb is not to wear shoes that will fall off easily, including sandals and flip flops, or high heels that would prevent your body from being properly aligned. This is why wearing sneakers, runners, or flat shoes are in your best interest.

However, it’s quite common to get your adjustment barefoot while at the chiropractor. In fact, many chiropractors recommend not wearing shoes.

If that’s something you are comfortable with, then you can wear whatever shoes you want to the appointment and take them off once you’re there.

Can You Wear a Hoodie to the Chiropractor?

Although hoodies can be quite comfortable, they aren’t recommended to wear to a chiropractor due to their weight and bulkiness. The thick fabric can make it hard for your chiropractor to perform adjustments, and the hood may also be a slight obstacle.

If you are really set on wearing something with a hood, make sure the material is thin and the fit is loose. Think spring windbreaker with rain pants or any of the outfits we listed above.

Broadly speaking, it’s best to steer clear of hoodies during your appointment. You can always layer it on top of a T-shirt then remove it once you get to the chiropractor’s office.

Final Thoughts

Overall, dressing for a chiropractor appointment should be the least stressful part of your day. All you have to do is wear something fitted so the chiropractor is able to perform their examinations, assessments, and treatments without any obstacles.

Now you know what you need to wear to a chiropractor, but you might be thinking: What do chiropractors wear? Since we spent the bulk of the article giving you ideas for what you should be wearing to the chiropractor, you may be wondering what the chiropractor themselves wear, and that’s a fair question!

Well, we found that chiropractors have the ability to wear pretty much anything they want. Most tend to wear scrubs or doctor’s coats for professional purposes but they technically aren’t required to wear a uniform of any sort.

Unlike doctors and other medical professionals, chiropractors are recognized as an alternative healthcare practice. The more you know!

We hope you have a deeper understanding and idea of what to wear to chiropractic appointments. You can use these outfits as inspiration for your next appointment or apply these outfits to other areas of your life as well.

No need to call the chiropractor to ask what to wear as rolling up in a comfy and classy outfit such as the ones we’ve shown above would be best.
